Printer damaged by lightning

CANON MX-490 PRINTER

The printer does not power up after a lightning strike.

Does anyone know how I can repair the machine myself? Its about two months old.

The power cord plugs into a plastic module cum 220AC/24DCV transformer. Can I purchase one of these modules in South Africa? Output voltage is presently around 8V
