Since I installed an Epsom 2850, Word and occasionally Excel seem to be affected when the printer is turned off. I receive a spinning arrow that can take up to a minute to go away when I try to start working on the Word document (for example, copying and pasting some text), but after that, Word functions normally.
I never experienced the issue before to purchasing the Epsom, and it does not appear to occur when the printer is turned on, so I believe something is causing Word to search for the printer and become confused when it is unable to locate it.
Has anyone else had this issue, and if so, is there an alternative to squandering electricity by leaving the printer on continuously?
