Printer head alignment

Hi, so glad that I found your forum. I have an Expression photo XP760. I was getting ready to print the targets for buying a colour printer profile and checked the print head alignment, as advised by the company. The result wasn't good to be honest. 20 tries later and I am still unable to get all the test squares band free.It is undoubtedly better than before but will a profile be a waste of money if I can't correct this???
