Printer not recognised

Brother MFC480DW
Was unable to print with an error message on PC of 'Printer in error state' message.
Went into 'View devices and printers' and found my printer model no longer listed.
I downloaded the 'drivers and software' file for the model from Brother, uninstalled the old drivers and then installed the downloaded file.
But still have the same problem being unable to print and the printer is still not listed in view printers or 'add a printer'.
Any suggestions appreciated.

Have just sorted it.
Ctrl Panel/System & Security/Find and Fix Problems/Use a Printer
My printer was not listed but It was listed after clicking 'My Printer is not listed'.
Selected and added it.
Now showing in devices and is printing ok.
