printing on both sides of a page with Epson Workforce WF-7710

I have an Epson which prints fine overall, but whenever I try now to print on both sides of a paper, it prints on one side, then scrolls the paper back, makes a thumpy sound, and then says paper is stuck (paper jam) and it cannot proceed. It prints fine one-sided. Then, I take out the paper that gets stuck, and rinse and repeat -- every time I try to print two-sided it gets stuck on the other side.

Is that hopeless to try and fix myself? What could be the problem?

Epson user with happiness but a one-sided view of things, possibly.
