problem with printer head

I have a HP officejet pro 6830,
second time in a year the printer head broke.
The first time it was under warranty.
My 1 year warranty ran out a month ago, but HP says they will give me a free extension of 2 years, and fix the printer.
What's up with this? Why does the printer head break so often? I use the printer very moderately, in a good, clean environment.
I am using genuine HP ink cartridges.

I was given this printer with the same problem. I decided to watch this video and purchase a used printer head and cartridges (knowing the risks). I replaced the printer head but it still error's our 'Problem with printer head'.
