I have a hl-3170cdw Brother printer. Printing quality in black was bad. I bought a used OEM black cartridge on eBay that said "Used to print roughly 50 pages". Half price compared to new cartridge.
I installed it, it's printing fine now, but when I go to the Brother status monitor, I see that the black level indicates half, instead of full. Before replacing the cartridge, I didn't look at the ink level indicator.
Does it mean that the seller lied to me, or do I have to reset the toner counter after I replace a cartridge?
