Two years ago, we had a very bad lighting storm and it knocked out the house phone. Later, when I tried to scan a document to my desktop PC, I realized that the scanner was no longer being detected. But the scanner works just fine when I put a sheet in it and hit the scan button. The PC just can't detect it anymore. I tried everything I could think of, including connecting the printer by way of ethernet cable. Hoping that would work. Unfortunately, it did not. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
