Scanning Issues with Epson V750

I have been trying to use the scanner to scan from transparency's and negatives using the Epson V750 and getting very strange streaking results. (See image below) An Epson service center stated that the problem is probably with the top portion of the scanner and all I needed to do was order a new one. Just got it in and the exact same problem has occurred. I have tried using 2 different scanning software programs again with the exact same problem still existing.

I am able to do reflective scans just fine.

Has anyone experienced this problem and what did you do to fix it besides purchasing a new scanner.

I am using a MAC computer 10.13.6 OS
