Slow to print - speed problem

I have just set up a Windows 8 PC to print wirelessly to a Canon MG6125 printer. It does work but takes at least a full minute before output appears. Why so long ? In the Canon balloon that appears I see the error message "printer not responding" for a time.

I can print wirelessly to the same printer from a Windows 7 PC in the same room at a normal (5 second say) speed. The router is in the same room.

From my experience windows 8 performance is very slow...best option to use windows 7

maybe you can try to change your usb cable, or try to use the printer on another computer

Yea. I guess it's Window 8 that has a problem. I've read somewhere that some printers wouldn't print with Window 8 too. I just can't recall the article's site but maybe you can check it yourself.
