Hi I have an HP Office jet Plus 8600 Pro that is a couple of years old. Sometimes I get major squeaking sounds like it needs to be oiled or something. They mostly come from the auto feed scanner, but sometimes they also come from the output rollers. I've fixed maybe 5 jams in the last couple of years and i use this printer often.
What kind of maintenance should you do for this type of printer besides the automated print head cleaner and adjustments it suggests to be done?
I know this may sound stupid, but do printers ever actually need to be oiled like a sewing machine?
