Brother DCP-L2540DW Vertical lines appearing (said normal by Customer Service)

Hi everyone,

I have Brother DCP-L2540DW which is a monochrome laser. I tried printing out a full black and white photo and it was showing the output as attached. I sent it to its service and they told me that this kind of print output is normal for a Monochrome Laser, is this true or they are trying to fool me? Should I demand a replacement or fix? The printer still falls under warranty.
