Hi there, first time posting and I hope this is not a very silly question. I need to replace the yellow drum in the above printer. I bought a black one by mistake so my question is- can I install a yellow toner into the drum that says 'compatible with black?' Are the drums all the same, or do I need a drum specifically for the yellow toner? Didn't realise there was any difference in the drums. Someone said they might be chipped?

There are no chips in the drums but there is a small plastic lug on the back plate of the BK drum that prevents the black toner cartridge from fitting the drum. Removing this should enable you to use it in place of a yellow one. Just take care not to touch the surface of the drum as you do so.
