Brother Hl4140CN Printing problems

Anyone know what the solution to this is.
When printing black, a section is missing. If I print a line of colour it's fine. I have changed the drum, and thew toners. Also, it's intermittent, so somewhere perhaps its a bad connection. I have attached a scan.

For some reason, the file I uploaded isnt showing. I tried a .pdf and jpg. is there a max size for attaching files?
