Canon MX870 Replacement

Hi, first timer here. Looking to replace my Canon MX870, the MX870 has been a beast and not a lick of trouble for many years. Printer still works, but the scanning function has crapped out and takes about 15mins to scan 1 page. I definitely have gotten my money's worth from this printer. The MX870 has a print resolution of 9600x2400, I am not seeing any modern day all-in-one setups with that print resolution. Appears most of today's models are printing at 4800x1200.
Has anyone else noticed this resolution degrade?
Any replacement recommendations? I have been eyeing a Canon Pixma9520. I am not pro-Canon, but since my MX870 lasted this long....

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
