Computer won't recognise printer

My Epson printer works fine in my PC but my laptop won't recognise it. I have tried reinstalling the DVD and changed USB ports. The printer is BX300F.The only thing different is I have recently installed Norton on my laptop. Don't know if that would make any difference.
