Since I installed an Epsom 2850 it seems to affect Word and occassionally Excel when the printer is switched off. When I try to start work on the Word document (e.g. copy and paste some text) I get a revolving arrow which takes up to a minute to go away, but after that Word works normally.
I never had the problem before I bought the Epsom and it does not seem to happen if the printer is switched on, so I suspect something is making Word look for the printer and get confused because it cannot find it.
Has anyone else had this problem and is there a solution apart from wasting electricity leaving the printer on the whole time.
My system is a year old Acer gaming computer running Windows 11 and Microsoft Office 2007
Thanks, Art
