I had a readyprint subscription, cancelled it and then restarted a new one - but it never worked. I even received the new inks, they are all set up in the printer, but still it gives me the same error code. So I messaged the support - they of course, did not answer for weeks. Called the service - she was pissed, hated her job and hung up after not understand my problem. So EPSON is so unprofessional and disgusting, that I have to throw away that damn printer, and will never get back to them.

I had the same problem as Epson cancelled my XP3205 printer remotely when I cancelled my ReadyPrint subscription which worked out more expensive than buying replacement generic inks, luckily the new 604XL non OEM inks from Ebay work beautifully Thought I should spread the words than being ripped off by Epson ReadyPrints.

Same problem. Finally cancelled ReadyPrint because I ran out of ink. Their service just didn't work reliably. The way it should work is they ship you new ink just before you run out..? (not rocket science is it). #Fail.

Anyway I bought my own ink as I know the subscription ink won't work anymore but the printer is complaining of a "ReadyPrint account problem" on the screen, and refuses to print.

Epson's web site support chat does not work. So I am stuck. Any advice?

Given I have *no* idea how to fix your printers, I do have a method to keep this *&^%*&^%
from happening to you, or others, in the future. These printers obviously use WiFi,
the WiFi signals all come from/through your router, and the printer's ID (MAC address?)
has long ago been sent to OEM. OEM can thus communicate -individually- with your printer.

Most routers have a built-in Firewall, which can block various "websites", including those
OEM uses to communicate with your personal printers (and presumably, shut them down).

Here's the generalized method to activate router firewalls, and use them, to block printer's
communication with OEM: LINK TO Lifewire Page. NOTE: Router firewall is different from
the firewall you have using Windows' OS, or Apple's OS.

What sites need to be blocked is way beyond my knowledge, but I suspect someone
here has a friend who works in IT.
.Good Luck !

EDIT: I wonder if blocking the OEM sites on the internet will allow the printers to recognize
new non-OEM+ (??) cartridges and/or aftermarket cartridges?? Might be worth a try.

.
BTW... Blocking Epson via firewall should not interfere with you controlling your printer.
I hate to say it but because of the scenario of having a bricked printer after each blocking attempt, this is above everyone at this forums paygrade. Hell even blocking Windows 10/11 from contacting home base is more advanced than most users want to commit. They certainly wouldn't risk a bricked printer to find all the ports and addresses Epson/HP software and/or hardware can report home to.

Everyone is better off ditching the subscription before using it.
