I had an Epson ET-4750 printer that on three occasions outputted a printed page that was creased and folded twice in an accordion fashion. In all three cases the folds were 3.5 inches and 4.5 inches from the top of the sheet of paper.
Because of that problem I returned it after just a couple of weeks and purchased an ET-8700. In two weeks it has done the same thing twice.
I’m using the same kind of paper that I used for years with an HP-8600 printer. It is Georgia-Pacific 20-weight multipurpose paper. It never caused problems in the HP printer so I doubt that it is the culprit with the Epson ET printers.
Is this a known problem with the Epson ET printers?
