Is it possible to fix this left side fading HP Laser printer CP1215 black cartridge?

Apparently it's been refilled and has a good amount of toner. I opened it up. I'm still learning how these work and just want to make sure there isn't any way to fix it before I buy a new one. I tried shaking it up a few times but nothing changed. Any ideas? Thanks
