Lexmark MX511 issue after firmware update

Hi,

first of all I'm not a native speaker so please apologize any difficulties to express what I really mean.

Bought a used Lexmark MX511 and it worked all fine. I upgraded the firmware to the latest version. All went fine, but after the first reboot after updating the printer says:

"toner cartridge empty, 0 pages left" (this is my translation of the original german error message, not the actual message.)

It says additional [88.38] which is the error code, I assume.

Funny enough the toner cartridge was at 80% before the firmware update.

Any help?

Try OEM Lexmark brand Toner. Seems many manufacturers have precluded use of non-Oem with firmware updates. Definitely so with ink cartridges. Not sure about toner.
