Mac Mountain Lion: Deleting completed jobs ?

At one time, using a Canon iP6700D with my iMac, I was able to simply highlight a completed job item and click 'delete' to eliminate it. No longer works. Not since April 17, 2013. Anyone know the current protocol for doing this ? Annoyed that the delete option
was changed to begin with. Anyone know why ? Tnx Cdogh
