Magicolor 1690MF - can't print from IE9

I recently purchased a Konica Minolta magicolor 1690MF printer, and I can no longer print from IE9. I can print from all other applications I use such as Outlook, Office applications, Adobe pdfs, etc. but not IE9. However, if I run IE9 as Administrator OR disable the "Enable Protected Mode" under Internet Options - Security I can print, but both of these options have problems. I am running Win7 64 and hae installed the Win 7 64 printer drivers.

I have uninstalled IE9 and can print from IE8. However, when I reinstall IE9 I can no longer print from it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I don't want to go back to IE8.
