Paper Size

First time here, so here goes.
We have a ink jet printer now that will print on 8" (203.2 mm) X 16" (406.4 mm) paper. It only does the 11" deep paper but if I print at the lower part of the 11" it will print the 1 line I need on the 8" X 16" and the printer will spit the sheet out. Just got a Samsung Laser and it will not do it. It will print the1 line and then when it gets to the end of the 14" paper size, which is the max, it just holds the sheet there and I have to pull the machine apart to get it out.
I guess what I am looking for is a laser that has the ability to print at the 11" level and then spit out the sheet.
Any ideas or hints? or am I doing something wrong??
