Printer Does Not Work Properly

I'm having an issue with my HP deskJet printer trying to print anything from my computer (tells me my printer is an error state) but whenever I try to print an info page all the pages stored at the top of the printer start going through the machine. I'm thinking it's a hardware problem because my network is good and I reinstalled the printer. What is the issue here?

I have a HP4650 All-in-One Inkjet experiencing similar issues since the two recent software updates - The printer stays offline and won't respond - Sound similar?
