Choose a strong one of at least eight characters, using a combination of numbers, letters and punctuation. Remember: Don't use an obvious password, such as a pet's name, date of birth, or a password similar to those you use on other sites:

To reset your Gmail password, follow these steps:

Visit the Gmail Sign-In Page: Go to the Gmail sign-in page.
Click on "Forgot Password?": Click on the "Forgot password?" link below the password field.
Enter Your Email Address: Enter the Gmail email address for which you need to reset the password.
Verification: Google will ask you to verify your identity. You may receive a verification code on your recovery email or phone number associated with the account.
Enter Verification Code: Enter the verification code received and click "Next."
Create a New Password: After verification, you'll be prompted to create a new password. Enter a strong and secure password.
