Spattering on prints (4880 pro)

I've been using my 4880 pro for several years now, recently it has started producing black 'spatter' on all prints across the 'print area' (It is not the rollers) and i'm wondering what the cause may be?

I have changed the maintenance tank and performed every cleaning function on the printer to no avail.
Any suggestions?
