Use old printer as interface

Hi ,
I have recently bought a lexmark cs310dn laser printer and i have an old lexmark x5650 all in one. I was wondering it it was possible for the copier and scanner in the x5650 to print to the new laser. So if i copied a document on the old printer it would actually print into the new laser

have you tried it to see if it will work, you can't harm any thing by doing so ?
