XP 15000 -- user defined page size doesn't work in rear paper feed.

I set a custom size and landscape orientation for rear cassette on XP15000 printer, same settings in printer properties menu. Everything looked fine in print preview but doc printed in different size and portrait mode. Printer properties had reverted to A4 and portrait. Tried a workaround, using a preset size that was a bit larger than the envelope I was using. It printed okay but there were ink smudges in the upper righthand corner
