I have recently purchased a used Brother L3230 laser which has been a demo model. The info on the machine seems to bear this out (under 600 prints) I don't know how much the starter cartridges in these printers have in them but the Black ran out after about 200 prints. Also the quality of the black print is much lighter than the old Dell 1760 that this machine replaced. It is more of a dark grey rather than solid black. I have now replaced the black with a non oem cartridge but there seems to be no difference. I have checked that Eco mode and toner save are both off and run the wire cleaner up and down a few times with no difference showing. Is this how these printers are? or does anyone know if there is anything I can do please?
