Brother HL L9200CDW Rear Cover open error

Hello there fellow frustrated printer custodians. Wondering if anyone has encountered a similar issue to a unit as per description above. I recently replaced a fuser unit to the printer, having encountered a similar issue to that described in the thread "DCP 9020CDW fuser unit, damaged again" (in case you wish to refer to it). The installation of the new unit went well, but now I keep getting an error message informing that the rear cover is open, even though it isn't. I have gone through the usual checks of ensuring all connectors were plugged back in, that the cover closed completely and the lugs relocated into the recesses correctly, turned on and off, cold-booted, warm-booted, reset the factory settings, but all to no avail. Until this message clears, it refuses to print, the ignorant little blighter!
