Epson R3000 problem

I have been happily printing on my 3000 for a couple of years and all of a sudden it is printing so dark that it is unacceptable. All the settings seem to be the same as before so i am now at a loss as to what to do to get it back. Any ideas would be appreciated. I am using an iMac with latest OS update with a cable connection and Photoshop CC. The printer head check show all colours printing properly and I have done several head cleans.
