Hi All,
Working through an issue at the moment concerning my Epson Scan Software. The symptoms I am having is this:
  • I click on the Epson Scan Icon on my dektop (or through start menu)
  • The software appears in my taskbar but no window opens on desktop
  • I hear the printer ready itself for scanning
  • The software disappears off my tasbar
This issue only occurs on my desktop PC, it does not occur on my laptop.

Some info about my desktop:
  • WINDOWS 10 64 bit Version 1803 (OS Build 17134.191) - same as my laptop
  • Printer connected to Asus RT-AC88U router which has Asuswrt-Merlin OS V 384.6 via lan cable
  • Both laptop (via wifi) and desktop (via LAN cable) are connected to this router
  • Both have most up to date epson printer and scan drivers

Some troubleshooting activities so far:
  • Currently being escalated to Tier 3 support at Epson Head Office - but support is very sloooooowwwwww - hence my post today
  • Reinstalled windows
  • Reinstalled software
  • Installed Epson proprietary patches
  • Checked scan settings that epson printer is network
  • Ran through scan wizard settings on printer
  • Taken lan cable out of PC and plugged into laptop (scan software continues to work in laptop)
If anyone has any serious suggestions, I would welcome the opportunity to try them out - I have googled quite a bit but nothing seems to work.

Kind regards,
K

Scanning issues…

Please try this scan solution:

HP Scan Extended

For Windows: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Check all your settings and expand all tabs and all + signs to see all options that available. And there are a lot of them.

Make searchable PDFs scans with this free scanning software - https://www.naps2.com/

NAPS2 also allows you to:

1. Maximize and resize the scanning screen on your computer.

2. Scan over 300 ppi/dpi from the Glass or ADF.

3. Save multiple pages (over 300 ppi/dpi) to one PDF file.

4. Provide scan resolutions of 100, 150, 200, 300, 400, 600, 800, 1200 dpi.
