Had to stop a print job mid-printing and now the error light is flashing and I can't print

I accidentally started printing a 90 page document on my printer (a Brother HL-2270DW) and was unable to pause the job from my computer. I panicked and switched the printer off mid-job. When I turned it back on, nothing would print at all and the error light flashed. Any idea what I can do to fix this?

Try remove power from both computer and printer. Unplug power cord at wall outlet for 10 minutes.

When I turned the printer back on after doing that all the lights turned on, then the ready light flashed, then the light went back to the error light.

OK, try clearing the Printer Queue. Follow this link:

Yes, it will mean you may have to start over

Then disconnect computer and printer again from wall outlet.
Disconnect USB cable
Restore power after few minutes
Wait five more minutes and restore USB connection
Be sure you have paper in paper tray.

Still getting the error light

The only other thing I can think of is to return printer to Factory Defaults. Look in your maintenance options.
