HELP! Brother software for OS X Yosemite Version 10.10.5

Hi,
I am trying to set up a Brother DCP-T300 for my Mackbook pro Retine, OS X Yosemite (Version 10.10.5).
I´ve install the software that is on Brother´s page, but when i send print on any document the printer results are thick striped colors that blend with each other and nothing comes out of the document.
I don´t know if i need a new software that is not update at Brother´s page.
I really need some help.
