Pictures not printing to true size

Hi all
I'm really stuck with this one, I'm trying to print a photo collage in A4. The college has a black border for framing but when it prints the border disappears. Printed in landscape which is the wrong way the border is present but printing in portrait which is what I was the border is gone or reduced in size.
Any help would be great

Make sure you selected the correct paper size and layout settings in your printing program and printer software.
