Scanning from TaskAlfa 3500i locks out domain account

We have a few different address book entries that scan files to SMB when chose on the Use interface of the Kyocera TaskAlfa 3500i. With one account, the moment the user tries to scan it throws an error and the Windows domain account used to authenticate the scan immediately gets locked out.

I can unlock it and test successfully, but then the user tries to scan again and it happens again.

I checked the Windows logs and there are no entries for failed attempts, only the entry for the account being locked out.
