Stopped - 'Filter' failed

Recently uploaded Catalina 10.15.7 OS to iMac. I went to the Epson web page and downloaded latest drivers for Catalina/Epson SC P7000 but now get the message Stopped - ‘Filter’ failed,
I’ve uninstalled and re installed the printer but it hasn’t helped.
I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled PSCC 21.2.4 but that hasn’t helped either.
Wondering if you have suggestions re what to do next to resolve the issue?

If its any consolation, my Canon MB2160 is doing the same thing on some prints. Seems that you need to go through the printer logs to figure whats causing the issue. For example, if I printed using USB lead, the print would give same error, if I printed through the wifi network, the error went away!
